lines and you'll find clues that the Christian Right has been in the Tea
Party trenches from the start."

from the New York Times: "Yet while the Tea Party supporters are more conservative than
Republicans on some social issues, they do not want to focus on those
issues: about 8 in 10 say that they are more concerned with economic
issues, as is the general public." Thus is
the public lulled into a sense of security - the Religious Right is no
longer a force to be reckoned with. Some have warned against
complacency:

Ellen G. White has given us this warning, "I have been shown that Satan has
not been stupid and careless these many years, since his fall, but has
been learning. He has grown more artful. His plans are laid
deeper, and more covered with a religious garment to hide their
deformity. The power of Satan now to tempt
and deceive is ten-fold greater than it was in the days of the apostles.
His power has increased, and it will increase, until it is taken away.

abortion, homosexuality, and other vices. There is a natural
impulse to support political movements against these sins.
However, sincere Christians might consider a posture of neutrality in
the cultural wars. There can be no question of assent to gay
rights in violation of the Scriptures; however, to become involved with
the religious forces that are warring against these sins
in the political arena is to venture onto
deadly dangerous, enchanted ground, in a sure path to union of Church
and State and the end of religious liberty, which is Satan's objective.
Never forget that the Church of Rome, the Beast of Rev. 13:1-3, has been
and continues to be the driving force of the Religious Right, which is
spearheaded by Apostate Protestants.
